Two men plead guilty to bank robberies on Seacoast, in Mass.
CONCORD -; Two men pleaded guilty to federal bank robbery charges Tuesday in U.S. District Court and are facing sentences of up to 20 years in prison on each count.Jason Pratt, 29, of Hampton, pleaded guilty to three counts of bank robbery and one count of conspiracy to commit bank robbery.U.S. Attorney John P Kacavas said in a news release that Pratt robbed Provident Bank on Provident Way in Seabrook on March 22, Provident Bank on Lafayette Road in Hampton on April 3, and TD Bank on High Street in Hampton on April 30. Authorities said he made off with more than $11,000 in stolen funds.Pratt faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and fines of up to $250,000. He will be detained pending sentencing scheduled for March 4.Ryan Patrick Lane, 35, of Charlestown, Mass., pleaded guilty to three counts of bank robbery. Authorities said he robbed TD Bank in Hampton on April 14, Rockland Trust Bank in Hingham, Mass., on March 29, and the Braintree Cooperative Bank in Quincy, Mass., on April 25.In each instance, Lane entered the bank, handed a teller a note demanding money and, in the Hampton robbery, threatened to kill her if she pushed the alarm button.He faces a maximum sentence of 20 years per charge and is to be sentenced March 17.
