Penmen prevail, gain NCAA men's soccer quarterfinals
The Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer express rolls on.
The Penmen, the top-ranked Division II team in the nation, fell behind then roared back to top LIU Post 3-1 on Friday morning in Erie, Pa., to win the NCAA East Regional title.
Sophomore Dominic Samuel scored a pair of goals and senior Pierre Omango added a score as SNHU won its 20th straight game to improve to 20-1. The Penmen advanced to play Mercyhurst on the Lakers' home field in Sunday's NCAA quarterfinal. Mercyhurst advanced with a 3-1 win over Millersville University.
Sunday's 1 p.m. quarterfinal marks a rematch of last year's quarterfinal won by the Lakers at SNHU's Larkin Field.

But Samuel tied the game at 24:55, on a header off a corner kick by Jonathan Lupinelli. Samuel struck again, on another header off another corner kick, 4:15 into the second half. This time, Manchester's Christian Rodriguez took the corner kick.
Omanga scored his 20th of the season with 1:26 remaining.
