Wounded warrior needs some help

November 20. 2013 6:23PM

MANCHESTER — A benefit will be held to help a wounded warrior and his family at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Bo's Function room, Milly's Tavern, Commercial Street.

There will be live entertainment, silent auctions, 50/50 raffles, along with food and drinks, as folks take time to thank this veteran for his service.

Army Spc. Calvin Todd sustained a traumatic brain injury as well as losing his left leg to a pressure-plate exposive device in Afghanistan while running to aid three other wounded American soldiers.

His home needs to be adapted to accommodate a wheelchair, and aid him in living independently with his wife and one year old son. This benefit is to help in that effort.
