Couple arrested for Monday morning bank robbery in Nashua

NASHUA — Two people were arrested Morning morning shortly after an armed robbery at the TD Bank branch on Daniel Webster Highway.

Police charged Richard Marquis, 22, of 7 Jensen St., after they say he walked into the bank at 225 Daniel Webster Highway about 8:30 a.m. armed with a knife.

"He was wearing dark clothing and either had a mask or some type of clothing covering his face," Lt. Denis Linehan said of the robber.

Marquis allegedly jumped over the teller's counter, grabbed an unknown amount of cash, jumped back over the counter and fled the bank.

"Customers were in the area and noticed the robber, and were able to provide a vehicle description to police," said Linehan.

Patrol cars were asked to be on the lookout for a silver Toyota Scion with a female driver and a male passenger. Authorities quickly caught up with the vehicle on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in the area of exit 7 northbound, according to Linehan, who said it was traveling at a high rate of speed.

Marquis and the driver, Ashley Caron, 24, of 76 Fairview Ave., were both arrested without incident.

He has been charged with one felony count of armed robbery, and she has been charged with criminal liability to armed robbery. They are currently being held on bail and are scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.

"The witnesses were extremely helpful in this investigation," said Linehan, adding police are currently trying to determine whether the couple may have been involved in other armed robberies in the area.
