MANCHESTER — Police are seeking the public's help in finding a man who robbed the Dunkin' Donuts at 855 Candia Road early Sunday morning and another who robbed the Crosstown Variety Store at 270 Amory St. Monday night.
Neither man displayed a weapon or caused injury, and both escaped with money.
When Officer Tom Ouellette responded to the Dunkin' Donuts Sunday morning, the clerk said the robber entered the store and passed a note demanding money. He did not display a weapon and fled with cash.
He was described as Hispanic, about 5-foot-7, with a buzz cut hairstyle, and clean shaven, with acne scars. He was wearing a black leather jacket and black fedora hat.
Officer Jeff Fiermonte and police dog Bauer tracked the man to nearby Elton Avenue, where the hat and some cash were recovered in the roadway.
Officer Aaron Stone responded to the Crosstown Variety Store at about 7:30 Monday night for another robbery. The clerk there reported the man entered the store and asked for cigarettes.
He then demanded money, telling the clerk he did not want to hurt her. The clerk said the man had his hands in his pockets and did not display a weapon. He fled the store with cigarettes and some cash.
The robber is described as a white male, about 5-foot-8, with short reddish-blond hair and a mustache. He wore a gray, hooded North Face jacket with the hood up and pulled tightly around his face.
