Woman accused of striking pedestrian no-show at court

SEABROOK — A Hampton woman accused of driving drunk when she struck a pedestrian, who later died last month, did not appear at her arraignment Wednesday morning.

Danielle F. Kooyoomjian, 29, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated after the accident on Oct. 13 at the intersection of Ocean Boulevard and Highland Avenue.

Police said Kooyoomjian was driving a 2003 Honda Civic when she struck Charles Sayre, 57, of Amesbury, Mass. Sayre was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital where he died the next day.

Kooyoomjian, who was released on $500 bail, was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in the Seabrook Circuit Court.

A court clerk said she didn’t show up for the arraignment and the status of the case was not clear.
