Police say man attacked with syringe in Manchester parking garage

MANCHESTER — Police are searching for a man who reportedly stabbed another man with a syringe Wednesday during a robbery attempt in a parking garage.

Police said the victim, a 33-year-old man from Concord, was leaving his truck after parking at the Center of New Hampshire parking garage about 9 a.m. Monday when he was grabbed from behind by another man who tried to take his bag. The men struggled over the bag and the victim felt a “sharp pain” in his leg and noticed that, when the other man ran away, he was carrying a syringe, police said.

The victim drove himself to Elliot Hospital for treatment.

The attacker is described as white, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a reddish complexion and a large brown and red beard, wearing a large, long brown coat, faded black or gray jeans and a dark knit hat.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 668-8711 or the Manchester Crimeline at 624-4040 or online at manchestercrimeline, org.
