Police seek man who robbed Laconia convenience store

LACONIA — Police are looking for a man who robbed a Laconia convenience store at knifepoint Sunday afternoon.

Laconia police were called at 3:57 p.m. to the P & P Market, 43 Elm St., to investigate an armed robbery. According to police, witnesses described seeing a white male with a light brown goatee, approximately 35 years old, who allegedly threatened an employee with a large, fixed blade knife, approximately 10 inches long. The thief demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash, then fled the area on foot wearing a brown hoodie with a red T-shirt underneath, a black coat, blue jeans and white sneakers.

No injuries were reported. No further information was available Sunday night.

Laconia police are asking that anyone with information to call 524-5252, or contact the Greater Laconia Crime Line at 524-1717.
