Gun report brings arrest, caution at nearby school in Hudson
HUDSON — A local man was arrested Friday after allegedly brandishing a gun during an argument outside his apartment.
Police said Aaron Holden, 23, of 3 Burns Hill Road, Apt. 46, was holding a firearm during a "verbal altercation" about 1:30 p.m. Friday with a man and a woman that began outside his apartment and continued when the group went into his apartment. He came out of the building when police arrived at 2 p.m. without incident, police said.
The nearby Nottingham West Elementary School was closed to outsiders for a time, but police allowed classes to go on as normal, said Sgt. Michael Gosselin. He said the situation did not warrant completely locking down the school, which would involve keeping children in their classrooms and not allowing them to move about the school.
"At no time were the students, faculty or employees of the Nottingham West Elementary School in danger due to this incident," Gosselin said in a release.
Holden is scheduled to appear Nov. 21 in Nashua Circuit Court.
