ROCHESTER - A local salon remains closed Thursday afternoon after a car struck the building earlier in the morning.
Rochester police said the crash occurred about 9:25 a.m. at Raspberries Salon & Day Spa, 10 Chestnut Hill Road.
A 2010 Hyundai Elantra driven by Marie L. Savio, 64, of Rochester, struck the building, according to police. Savio was turning into the complex when she travelled up over the curb and island, then continued through the parking lot and into the building, police said in a release.
No one was injured, according to police.
City Code Enforcement officers responded to the scene, and structural engineers were called to check out the building. Police said the salon remains closed for business until the building's stability can be determined.
