New Boston fire auxiliary supper
NEW BOSTON — The annual Sarah Moody Scholarship Spaghetti Supper, sponsored by the New Boston Fire Department Auxiliary, will be held Saturday, Nov. 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the fire station.
The supper will feature spaghetti and homemade sauce, meatballs, salad, garlic bread and warm apple crisp. The price is $8 per adult, $6 per child aged 6 to 12 or senior. The family price is $25.
All proceeds are contributed to the Sarah Moody Scholarship fund for a New Boston high school senior bound for college. Enjoy an autumn evening and join us for an inexpensive, delicious homemade family dinner. Love pie? We will also have pies for sale for $10 each to support the New Boston Auxiliary.
Molly Stark DAR holds fall meeting
MANCHESTER — The Molly Stark Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution will meet Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Puritan Backroom in Manchester for the annual DAR/SAR/CAR Veterans Appreciation luncheon. Business meeting will be at 10 a.m. and luncheon at noon.
Women 18 and older are eligible to join the DAR if they can show lineal descent to a patriot who furthered the patriotic cause of the American Revolution. Animal Rescue League hosts Auction Gala
MANCHESTER — Tickets are on sale for the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire’s largest fundraiser of the year Saturday, Nov. 9 at 5:30 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Manchester.
It will include fine food and drink and an eclectic selection of live auction items. Guests may sip on the ARLNH’s signature drink, the Wagatini, while being entertained by Paul Zekos, auctioneer.
“This auction raises crucial funds necessary to the wellness of this organization, more specifically, to help us care for the over 2,000 animals that come to the shelter each year,” said Paula Mattis, president and CEO of ARLNH.
The theme for the 15th Annual Auction Gala is Black and White. Guests are encouraged to wear black and/or white attire. Tickets are $100 per person and will only be sold prior to the event. To purchase tickets, visit www.rescueleague.org/auctiongala.cfm.

New London DAR meets Nov. 13
NEW LONDON — The DAR Mercy Hathaway White Chapter meeting will be Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the Tracy Library in New London at 1 p.m.
State Regent Phyllis Gagnon will be the honored guest for the program titled “Honoring Good Citizens.”
A power point program about the Children of the American Revolution will be presented by Madison Snaith.
Woman’s Club to visit VA Medical Center
WINDHAM — The Windham Woman’s Club monthly visit to the VA Medical Center in Manchester will be on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

Manchester Choral Society plans fun fundraiser
MANCHESTER — To support its mission of building community through music, the Manchester Choral Society plans a fundraising event on Thursday, Nov. 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 650 Hanover St. in Manchester.
Proceeds from “A Wine Enchanted Evening” will fund programs such as MCS’s youth choir, Second Generation MCS, outreach efforts, a scholarship and this season’s concerts.
The event includes a buffet, wine tasting, a live auction, and a silent auction.
