State Republican Party’s new executive director worked on N.J. Gov. Christie’s campaign

CONCORD - New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Jennifer Horn announced in a press release Wednesday that the party has hired Matt Mowers as its next executive director and Bobby Collins as state field director.Mowers recently served as regional political director for New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's successful reelection campaign. Collins, a former NHGOP victory field representative, returns to the Granite State after serving as the field director of the Republican Party of Virginia“Matt Mowers and Bobby Collins are extremely talented political operatives who will continue to build and expand our strong party infrastructure. They are seasoned and experienced professionals who have the skills that are needed to help New Hampshire Republicans win in 2014,” said Chairman Jennifer Horn. “I am pleased that they have agreed to join our exceptional team and look forward to working with them.”“New Hampshire Republicans have an enormous opportunity to make significant gains in 2014 if they focus on the traditional Granite State principles of limited government and fiscal responsibility,” said Mowers. “I am thrilled to join Chairman Horn's team, and I am eager to help our fiscally responsible candidates take back New Hampshire next November.”“I am excited to return to New Hampshire and rejoin the State Committee,” said Collins. “New Hampshire Republicans can win in 2014 and I look forward to working with our state and federal candidates to help them run successful campaigns.”Since April 2013, Mowers served as regional political director for Gov. Christie's successful reelection campaign. In that role, he was responsible for managing political operations for eight counties encompassing 2.2 million voters, including the state's largest swing county. Before joining the Christie Campaign, Mowers served as a regional director for legislative and intergovernmental affairs in the N.J. Governor's Office from 2010-2013. He previously served as the executive director of the Bergen County Republican Organization and managed several New Jersey state senate campaigns.Bobby Collins has served as the field director for the Republican Party of Virginia since May and managed voter contact operations during the Commonwealth's 2013 elections. Before moving to Virginia, Collins served as a victory field representative for the New Hampshire Republican Party in Nashua during the 2012 election cycle. He previously worked at the American Family Business Institute and interned for the New Jersey Republican State Committee.
