NHIAA Football Roundup: Bow's Ehrenberg hits milestone

Matt Ehrenberg became the first Bow High School player to rush for at least 1,000 yards in a season when he gained 170 yards and scored three touchdowns in Saturday's 29-0 triumph over Campbell of Litchfield.

Division III

Newport 42, Mascoma Valley 14: At Canaan, Newport scored the game's final 36 points and clinched a Division III playoff berth. Newport quarterback Tom Hogan completed 6 of 9 passes and threw for three touchdowns. The Tigers also received 178 yards rushing and two touchdowns from C.J. Lawrence.




Winnisquam 35, Newfound 14: At Bristol, Christian Serrano ran for 151 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries to highlight Winnisquam's victory. Andrew Serrano, Christian's brother, added 152 yards and a TD for the Bears, who completed their season with a 4-4 record.




Epping-Newmarket 34, Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough 13: At Meredith, Joe LeClerc rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries to help Epping-Newmarket raise its record to 4-4. Quarterback Alex Hackett completed 8 of 12 passes for 85 yards and a TD for Epping-Newmarket, which received 16 tackles from linebacker Jacob Valinski. Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough also completed the regular season with a 4-4 record.




Bishop Brady 51, Franklin 0: At Concord, quarterback Brendan Johonson passed for three touchdowns and ran for two more to help the Green Giants complete the regular season with a 4-4 record. Bishop Brady's Matt Tetu caught two TD passes (83 and 82 yards) and ran for a 58-yard touchdown.

Division II

Plymouth 36, Merrimack Valley 6: At Plymouth, Jared Kuehl and John Thomas each scored two touchdowns as Plymouth completed the regular season with an 8-1 record. Despite the loss, Merrimack Valley (7-2) qualified for the playoffs.

Plymouth held Merrimack Valley quarterback Ivan Niyomugabo to 5-of-12 passing for 56 yards.
