Police say Bedford man fired gun in house wth infant present

BEDFORD - A local man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly fired a gun during a dispute at his home while his 5-month-old child was present.

Matapelu Leausa of 7 Curtis Court fired the gun shortly before 3 p.m., police said. Police did not identify the gun type.

Leausa was involved in an argument with another resident of the home at the time of the shooting, police said. Nobody was injured.

Leausa was charged with felony counts of reckless conduct and criminal threatening. He was ordered held in Hillsborough County Jail on $10,000 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. Monday in Milford District Court.
