Plymouth business center seeks entrepreneurs
Now he's made a home for his company in the newly opened Enterprise Center, a business incubator that economic development leaders hope will attract entrepreneurs to the area and create high-value jobs.
"For many years, I was working really hard but not necessarily always making the best decisions," he said. "There's a lot offered here."
It aims to provide a one-stop shop for businesses throughout the region seeking advice and counseling, services, leased space, mentoring and networking.
PSU is providing staffing, campus-wide business services and intellectual capital.
Its features include a sales-skills development office, a video production room and space dedicated to professional focus group services.
The center now has 4,500 square feet of occupied space, and will have an additional 4,500 square feet available by the end of the first quarter of 2014, said Michael Tentnowski, the center's director.
A sixth business, Tentnowski said, is taking advantage of the center through the ECP's 1G fiber-optic-backboned system, doing so not on location but virtually, an opportunity more businesses have inquired about, he said.
