College Sports Roundup: St. A football loses tough one

Sean Binckes scored on a 10-yard pass from Steve Laurino with 24 seconds left to lift LIU-Post to a 41-40 win over St. Anselm on Friday at Grappone Stadium in Goffstown.

The gut-wrenching loss dropped St. Anselm to 0-9 overall and 0-8 in the Northeast-10.

Men’s soccer

SNHU 2, St. Rose 0: Senior Pierre Omanga scored twice as No. 10 Southern New Hampshire University completed a perfect Northeast-10 Conference season on Friday evening at Sullivan Field.

Women’s hockey

St. Anselm 2, UMass Boston 1: Freshmen Chelsea Stanclift and Alexandra Starzyk each scored their first career goals for the Hawks in their season-opening win at Sullivan Arena.

Field hockey

UNH 4, Fairfield 0: Sophomore forward Meg Flatley recorded a career-high five points on Friday.
