Nashua South quarterback Trevor Knight had a huge game in his last regular season football contest to lead his team to a 51-28 win over Winnacunnet of Hampton. South improved to 8-1.

Knight scored South’s first touchdown on a 48-yard run in the first period, connected with Robbie Smyth for a 30-yard pass for the second score and never eased up.

He finished with five rushing touchdowns and the one scoring pass. The other TD runs were from 1, 4, 49 and 72 yards.

The Warriors (5-4), led by quarterback IngHao Veasna, kept pace with South through three quarters. They led 28-27 when Veasna scored his second rushing touchdown late in the third quarter.

Knight took over from theer and scored his last three rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

Division I

Salem 29, Londonderry 7: At Londonderry, Jason Martinez rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Blue Devils. Josh Rodriguez added a rushing touchdown and Nick Shumski connected with Jake Poore for a TD pass. Jonathan Young rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown to lead the Lancers.

Spaulding 29, Dover 27: At Dover, visiting Spaulding of Rochester pulled ahead in the fourth quarter to improve to 6-3.

Dover led 20-16 after a Derek Stegman nine-yard run early in the fourth, but Spaulding got a 55-yard touchdown run from Trey Scott to make it 22-20 Red Raiders.

Scott then added a seven-yard score to push the lead to 29-20.

Dover (2-7) scored on a last second touchdown as Stegman connected with Cam Wiewuski for a 24-yard touchdown pass to account for the final score.

Snow gave Spaulding a 7-0 lead in the first before Dwayne Gordon’s 13-yard run tied the game for Dover.

Mitchell Cyr’s 26-yard field goal gave Spaulding a 10-7 lead. Stegman scored on a 17-yard run to put Dover up 14-10. Scott then ran the ball in from 20 yards out to put Spaulding up 16-14.


Exeter 36, Nashua North 0: At Exeter, The Blue Hawks led 12-0 at halftime and pulled away after the break to secure a playoff spot and finish 6-3 in the regular season. North closes out at 3-6.

Division II

Kennett 28, Kingswood 20: At Wolfeboro, the Eagles came roaring back with 28 second half points. Kingswood led 17-0 at the half. Kennett improves to 5-4. Kingswood finishes up at 1-8.


Monadnock 27, Pembroke 19: At Swanzey, the Huskies pulled way in the second half to seal their undefeated regular season. The game was tied 13-13 at the half.

Monadnock is 9-0 and the Spartans finish up at 3-6. The Huskies averaged an even 40 points a game and allowed 15.5.
