Candy drive benefits local charities


MANCHESTER — Don’t want all that extra Halloween candy and calories hanging around the house?

Temple Adath Yeshurun, 152 Prospect St., is holding a candy drive Nov. 1 to benefit local charities.Donated candy will be distributed to Operation Shoebox, an organization that sends care packages to the troops overseas, and New Horizons, which will use candy as dessert for those who depend on the soup kitchen for meals. Candy may be dropped off at the temple.
