New Hampshire singer Josh Logan advances to new, live round on ‘The Voice’
The local musician advanced to the knockout rounds earlier this week, going head-to-head with fellow Team Christina member Amber Nicole Monday night for the right to remain on the team.
During a telephone interview late Wednesday afternoon, Logan, who is a singer and guitar player, said he was feeling pretty confident as the live rounds loomed closer.
“There’s so many different things every time we attack a new song,” he said. “Every time I work with (Aguilera) I think I get more comfortable in who she is personality-wise. Now it’s just a matter of seeing what this song does and now she kind of knows what my voice does.
Logan remains on Aguilera’s team after belting out Stevie Wonder’s “Living for the City” before television audiences earlier this week.
A father by age 17, Logan once struggled to pay his bills and worked in the construction industry after withdrawing from Londonderry High School. He later earned his GED and entered the local music scene in his late teens.
Though his appearance on the program made him a household name as one of the show’s top 15 contenders, Logan didn’t make the final cut and returned to the Manchester area once the show concluded, where he’s been performing inside crowded local venues ever since.
