CONCORD — Massachusetts authorities apprehended a sex offender in New Hampshire Wednesday.
Stephen H. Frostholm Jr., 47, was apprehended in a Concord parking lot by the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS).
Frostholm was convicted in 2001 for multiple sexual assault of two boys while he was working as a bus driver in Barnstable, Mass., He was wanted for failing to register as a sex offender.
The VFAS team developed information in recent days that Frostholm was likely in Concord. Troopers went to Concord Wednesday morning and, working with local police and members of the United States Marshals Service, set up surveillance on two areas of interest.
Police observed Frostholm walking in a parking lot adjacent to 2 South Commercial St., and arrested him without incident.
