HOOKSETT — Bond Auto Parts will open its 17th location in New Hampshire next week in town, and company officials said they expect the store will be a good fit for the town.
Mark Harper, regional manager in charge of the Interstate 93 corridor for Bond, said he has had multiple people come in and express excitement about the store at 1109 Hooksett Road — and that the property was cleaned up and put to use.
“It is a community home-based area, which is just our kind of town,” Harper said. “We haven’t even been open yet, but an awful lot of people have come to check us out.”
Store Manager Mike Lavelle said the company plans to open Nov. 4, but cautioned that a lot of work remains. Lori Hanchett, Lavelle and Harper were all hard at work Tuesday morning trying to get the store ready.
“Hopefully we hit our target date, and we will if everything goes right,” Lavelle said. “We have a big crew coming down Wednesday and Thursday to help finish stocking and the show room.”
Lavelle said has heard multiple compliments on the new store sign and with excitement from both local businesses and car enthusiasts.
Bond is a family-owned business based in Vermont that first opened more than 50 years ago. Outside its home state, the company’s largest presence is in New Hampshire.
It also operates stores in New York and Massachusetts.
“We recently opened stores in Concord, Tilton and Plymouth, and the response to us has been good across the state, not just in Hooksett,” said Hanchett, who is part of the team from Vermont helping to set up the store.
