Officials renew requests for help in 3-year-old Manchester murder case

MANCHESTER — Authorities on Friday renewed their plea for help from the public to solve the murder of Lynne Brennan, who was found dead in her home three years ago.

Brennan was last seen on Oct. 4, 2010, shopping at Bunny's Superette, 75 Webster St. She was found dead in her North End apartment a week later by her landlady, Alicia J. Flanders, according to a joint release from Attorney General Joseph Foster and Police Chief David Mara.

She was going through the final stages of a drawn-out and bitter divorce from her husband, John Brennan, according to family. Police believe Brennan had been dead for a few days before she was found by Flanders.

She was 53 years old at the time of her death.

The release said investigators continue to investigate leads, but anyone with information about the murder is asked to call Manchester police at 668-8711 or the Manchester Crimeline at 624-4040.
