Old county nursing home may become veterans shelter
OSSIPEE — Former Carroll County Commissioner Dorothy Solomon walked into the Carroll County Delegation meeting Monday without a clear plan but a dream of helping the state's homeless veterans. She walked out with narrowly approved permission to take the next 18 months figuring out how to fund and start renovating two of the old nursing home's wings for a shelter for those men.
