Fitzwilliam residents who oppose quarry seek changes to state mining law

FITZWILLIAM — A group of residents is asking a local legislator to help change New Hampshire law on mining regulations. The permitting process, residents say, needs to be more transparent, and allow property owners to weigh in — which they’re not allowed to do.
