BIA event expected to attract up to 800 at Manchester awards ceremony
MANCHESTER — The New Hampshire Business and Industry Association will honor New England Wire Technologies Chairman Wendell Jesseman and former New Hampshire House Speaker Donna Sytek with Lifetime Achievement Awards at the group’s 100th annual dinner on Wednesday.
The event, scheduled from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Center of New Hampshire, will also include presentation of the BIA’s New Hampshire Advantage Award to the N.H. Charitable Foundation.
“This certainly is a special year for us, our 100th anniversary,” said Adrienne Rupp, vice president of communications at the BIA. “I believe we are sold out. We might almost be up to 800.”
Rupp said the BIA adjusted its schedule to help get attendees home in time for the opening game of the World Series. “We are planning to start a little early, about 15 minutes early, so everyone is out by 8 or 8:10 p.m.,” she said.
The event begins with a reception at 4:30 as planned, but the formal program will start 15 minutes earlier, at 6:15 instead of 6:30. The presenting sponsor is Lindt and Sprüngli USA, located in Stratham.
