Fire severely damages converted apartment building in Concord

CONCORD _ A fire severely damaged an old building converted into apartments on Monday night.
Concord Fire Department Batallion Chief Rick Whitney said damage to the wood-framed structure at 12 Huntington St. was mostly confined to a three-story garage area, although the four apartment units attached did have some damage.
Whitney said everyone in the apartments got out safely as firefighters got the flames under control within about 45 minutes after the call came in at 8 p.m. The cause of the fire remained undetermined Monday night.
Whitney said the initial damage estimates were betweeen $50,000 to $75,000
