Drivers suffer minor injuries when school bus, car collide in Hooksett

HOOKSETT — Two drivers went to the hospital after a Hooksett School District bus, with no children on board, collided with a single occupant vehicle Monday morning.

According to police officials, both drivers were transported to Elliot Hospital in Manchester with what appeared to be minor injuries.

The accident, which occurred on Hooksett Road by Legends Drive, is currently under investigation, Hooksett police Sgt. James Bradley said. To help determine the cause of the accident, Bradley said that the school bus's on board road camera will be examined.

According to district officials, Hooksett contracts its bus service with a company called Goffstown Truck and the bus was on its way to pick up children for a middle school route. The same school official said students were not delayed by the accident as two other bus routes picked up the slack.
