BEDFORD - A California couple flew cross-country to view maples and Mercedes.

"I wanted to see a car show. My wife wanted to see fall colors," Jim Kennedy said Saturday at the New Hampshire Auto Show at the N.H. Sportsplex.

Kennedy's wife, Nancy, used a phone app to find the most vivid yellow and red leaves. She visited the Lake Winnipesaukee area the previous day and did not leave disappointed.

"We can't believe these are all natural here," said Mrs. Kennedy, who hails from Fair Oaks, Calif.People from any state can check out 150 car, SUV and truck models today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for ages 7 and up. The New Hampshire Union Leader is a sponsor.

Brenda Rudinsky of Manchester enjoyed the inside of a 2014 S550 Mercedes sedan, which carried a list price of $120,465. She said her son, Stephen, could be her driver.

"I can watch my TV while he drives me around," she said from the car's backseat, which has two television screens. The car offers heated massaging seats and the ability to disperse four scents with names that included "Nightlife Mood" and "Downtown Mood."

"I just wish everything was on so I could play with the buttons," she said.

For someone still months away from getting his driver's license, Phil Hughes, 15, of Auburn, spent a few moments sitting in the driver's seat of a red Mercedes convertible that originally listed for about $226,000, but was marked down to around $170,000 used.

Hughes said he figures his first car will be a used one, but "nothing like this."
