The U.S. Marshals Service District of New Hampshire/Joint Fugitive Task Force has named Michael David Mahoney as New Hampshire's fugitive of the week.

Mahoney, 49, is wanted on warrants from Hillsborough County Superior Court for failure to appear to answer chareges of burglary and witness tampering. His arrest record includes a previous conviction for firearms possession, and he should be considered armed and dangerous. Mahoney is 5-feet-7, 179 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He has tattoos on both arms, including "Damn Yankees" on his left arm, and scars on his right foot and his chest.

He is also known by the aliases Mike Smith, Mike Anderson and Mike Maly. He was last known to be living in the Hampton area, but has ties throughout the country.

The U.S. Marshals Service advises the public not to attempt to apprehend a fugitive, who should be considered armed and dangerous. Instead, report any information to the U.S. Marshals Service's Concord office at 225-1632.
