Exeter boys edge Pinkerton in soccer Saturday


Carlos Barron's goal at the 77-minute mark, assisted by Buddy Carr, was the only marker in host Exeter's 1-0 victory over Pinkerton Academy on Saturday.

Exeter improved to 9-3-2. Pinkerton is 9-4-0.

Each team's goalie made seven saves: Eric Werner for Pinkerton and Henrik Barbin for the Blue Hawks.

Tim Wood, Kyle Hicks, Zach Bell, Phil Lerner and Tommy Martin played well for the Astros.

Raymond 3, Epping 0: The Raymond boys moved to 11-2-0 behind goals from Mike Schillereff, Mitchell Sytulek and Tad DiPietro. Collin Deyarmin registered his fourth shutout of the season.

Epping is 7-3-1.
