PELHAM — Police are looking for the public’s help in finding the occupants of a dark pickup truck that approached a group of teenage boys on Friday evening and tried to get them into the truck.

Shortly after 8 p.m. on Friday, police officers responded to Longview Circle where a dark pickup truck with a light-colored cab approached a group of teenage boys who were walking in the area. According to police, the truck stopped and a passenger in the right front seat told the boys to get in the truck.

The boys then ran in the opposite direction and hid in the woods. The truck then allegedly returned to the area and approached the teens while they were hiding.

Police are looking for help in finding the truck and its occupants to determine why they were approaching the teenagers.

The truck was described as being dark in color with either a tan or yellow cap. There were apparently three teenage males in the truck, about 18 years old. The right side passenger was described as wearing a baseball cap backwards and having longer hair.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the police department at 635-2411.
