College Hockey: Gophers edge Wildcats


Vinni Lettieri's goal with 2:10 left in the second period lifted Minnesota to a 3-2 win over UNH in the championship game of the Ice Breaker Tournament at Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis.

Eric Knodel and Nick Sorkin scored for UNH, which had a 2-1 lead with 8:30 to go inthe second. Sam Warning tied it for the Gophers 1:17 later, though, setting the stage for Lettieri.

UNH goalie Casey DeSmith of Rochester had 31 saves.
