NHIAA Football Roundup: Goffstown, Guertin post Division I victories

Quarterback Casey Gervais threw two touchdown passes to Paul Teixeira to help the Goffstown High School football team defeat Salem 28-22 Saturday in Goffstown.
The victory raised Goffstown's Division I record to 2-4. Salem fell to 1-5. Salem's Jason Martinez carried the ball 42 times for 209 yards and three touchdowns in the loss.
An 8-yard TD pass from Gervais to Teixeira help Goffstown build a 28-14 lead in the fourth quarter, Martinez cut into that deficit when he scored his third TD. Salem had two more possessions. The Blue Devils turned the ball over on down at the Goffstown 38-yard line, and then moved the ball to its own 48-yard line before Justin Wanner intercepted a pass to seal the win.
Gervais completed 11 of 25 passes for 149 yards. He was intercepted three times. Teixeira had four receptions for 56 yards.
Bishop Guertin 38, Spaulding 26: At Nashua, C.J. Boykin suited up for the first time since suffering an elbow injury in the Queen City Jamboree and ran two kickoffs back for touchdowns to help No. 5 BG improve to 5-1 in Division I. Boykin ran the opening kickoff back 88 yards for a score, also had an 81-yard kickoff return for a TD. Trevon Scott had two TD runs and a TD catch for No. 9 Spaulding, which slipped to 3-3.
Plymouth 37, Laconia 0: At Plymouth, the Bobcats received 160 yards rushing and two touchdowns from halfback Jared Kuehl and improved their Division II record to 6-0. Kuehl also caught a TD pass.
Plymouth's John Thomas rushed for 100 yards and a TD, and tight end Kyle Reisert caught a TD pass. Quarterback Collin Sullivan threw both TD passes. Laconia, which dropped to 2-4, trailed 7-0 after one quarter and 28-0 at halftime.
Milford 42, John Stark 7: At Weare, Mitch Banuskevich ran for 193 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries to help Milford improve to 4-2 in Division II. Milford's Evan Perron ran for two TDs and caught a TD pass. The Spartans also received 96 yards rushing and a touchdown from Willie Miles. Milford quarterback Harrison Urdawas injured late in the first half and left the field by ambulance. Milford coach Keith Jones said he believes the injury is a dislocated ankle. John Stark dropped to 1-5 with the loss.
Pelham 21, Epping-Newmarket 7: At Epping, Chris Benjamin caught a 78-yard touchdown pass to highlight Pelham's victory. The Pythons raised their record to 5-0 and are the only unbeaten team in Division III.
Epping-Newmarket's TD came on a 21-yard halfback pass from Alex Souvannaseng to Kyle Cawley with two seconds left in the first half. Epping-Newmarket fell to 2-3 with the loss.
Gilford 43, Newfound 42: At Bristol, halfback Tyler Maviki rushed for 98 yards and scored four touchdowns, but Newfound came up short when Gilford scored and added the point-after kick in the second overtime. Gilford, which tied the game with less than two minutes remaining in regulation, raised its Division III record to 4-1. Newfound fell to 2-3.
Newfound quarterback Jared Dearborn completed 15 of 23 passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns.
Bow 33, I-L/Moultonborough 0: At Meredith, junior tailback Kyle Barrington scored two touchdowns as the Falcons extended their winning streak to four games and raised their Divison III record to 4-1. Barrington's TDs came on runs of 5 yards and 1 yard.
Bow also received touchdown runs from Dwight Alford (3 yards), Matt Ehrenberg (5 yards) and Casey Iasillo (4 yards). Inter-Lakes Moultonborough fell to 3-3 with the loss.
Campbell 57, Raymond 7: At Litchfield, quarterback Christian McKenna tossed three touchdown passes and ran for two TDs to help Campbell raise its Division III record to 4-1. Kyle Manning had a TD catch and returned a kickoff 65 yards for a touchdown. Cody Aylward made two touchdown receptions. Raymond slipped to 0-5.
Bishop Brady 41, Farmington-Nute 14: At Farmington, Matt Tetu scored three touchdowns and the Green Giants outscored Farmington-Nute 34-0 in the second half. Defensive end Hunter Migneault returned an interception for a TD to give Bishop Brady a 20-14 lead early in the second half. Bishop Brady is now 3-2 in Division II. Farmington-Nute is 0-5.
Newport 52, Windsor, Vt. 14: At Newport, sophomore Noah Wade scored touchdowns on runs of 33, 16 and 20 yards to help Newport win a non-league contest that will not count in the Division III standings. Tanner Sherman added two touchdowns for the Tigers.
