Sophomore Kendal Elithorpe scored four goals to lead the Trinity of Manchester girls' soccer team to an 8-1 win over visiting Kennett of Conway Friday.

Elithorpe staked Trinity (4-7-0) to a 2-1 lead before Erin Milford pulled Kennett (2-11-0) within a goal in the 30th minute.

Ashley Brenner, Haley Burgess, Noelle Theodoulou and Sidney Elithorpe scored the other Trinity goals. Junior goalie Jenna Arcand made seven saves in the win.

Girls' soccer

Goffstown 4, Alvirne 2: At Hudson, the Grizzlies (8-2-1) scored two late goals to break a 2-2 tie and earn the win. Georgia Caine and Michele Tremblay (penalty kick) scored the late tallies.

Alvirne (8-3-1) led 1-0 on a Tori Laroche goal before Nikki Paquette tied the game. Michele Tremblay made it 2-1 Goffstown and Laroche tied the game again.


Derryfield 6, Concord Christian 1: At Concord, Derryfield School of Manchester improved to 10-1 with the win. Freshman Gabi Brummett scored four goals and Chloe Warner and Brynn Polgrean added solo tallies. Jasmine Whitman scored for CC. Cam Huftalen made eight saves in the win.


Londonderry 4, Spaulding 0: At Londonderry, Emily Crocetti scored twice and Kayleen Walberg and Noelle Lambert notched the other goals for the Lancers (7-4-2).

Jackie Luckhardt made two saves in the shutout win. Spaulding of Rochester (0-12) goalie Monica Harris stopped 14.

Boys' soccer

Hollis-Brookline 3, John Stark 0: At Hollis, Nate Rogers scored the game winning goal in the second half and Cole Owens supplied two insurance goals for the host Cavaliers, who improved to 10-2. Michael Pattelena made four saves for the shutout. John Stark of Weare fell to 5-6-1.


Timberlane 2, Merrimack 0: At Plaistow, Timberlane improved to 7-5-0 with the win. Nick Gibbs and Austin Marshall scored the goals while Tyler Donovan provided both assists.


Hopkinton 2, Bishop Brady 1: At Hopkinton, The Hawks remained unbeaten at 11-0-1 with a comeback win. Brady led 1-0 on a Tucker Tripp penalty kick goal, but Doug Fluery added his own PK tally to tie the game and Riley McNicholas scored the game-winner in the 78th minute.


Hillsboro-Deering 3, Mascenic 2: At Hillsboro, Thomas Irving scored the game-winner in the 81st minute to push HD to victory. Matt Wordell had given Mascenic a 1-0 lead and Nick Jewells scored the other Mascenic goal, which made the score 2-2 after Josh Gould and Chase Spruce scored for HD.


St. Thomas 4, Souhegan 2: At Dover, Eric Eames (two goals), Bryan King and Lance Thibodeau scored for STA (2-8-0). Dan O'Dowd and Miek Hayden logged the Souhegan of Amherst (6-6-0) goals.


Sanborn 3, Campbell 0: At Sanborn, Micah Peterson's first-half goal lifted the Indians. Abe Scully and Jon Brown added second-half goals. Shaun Howard made seven saves for Sanborn and Andrew Picard and Dan Wallace combined for three stops for Campbell. Each team is now 6-7.


Lebanon 3, Pembroke 1: At Pembroke, Kuda Muhlauri scored a pair of goals and Jacob Armstrong one to lead the Raiders. Brendan Pettigrew scored the Pembroke goal.

Kenny Weitzman had five saves for Lebanon and Alex Trujillo nine for the Spartans. Lebanon is 10-2 and reached double figures in wins for the ninth consecutive season. Pembroke is 9-2-1.

Field hockey

Merrimack Valley 1, Plymouth 0: At Plymouth, Olivia Thurber scored the only goal of the game to help MV (9-4) to the win. Plymouth fell to 7-5-1.


Derryfield 4, Hopkinton 0: At Manchester, Berklee Vaillancourt scored twice and twin sister Colbi added one goal, as did Lainee Shaughnessey. Derryfield improved to 12-0. Hopkinton fell to 10-2.


Salem 1, Keene 0: At Keene, Abbey Raymond scored the lone goal off an Erika Smith feed to lead Salem (11-2). Keene fell to 4-4-4. Salem goalie Meaghan Williams made six saves for the shutout. Keene goalie Jess Lavallee stopped 13.

Volleyball

Merrimack 3, Manchester Memorial 0: At Manchester, Merrimack won in straight sets by scores of 25-14, 25-2 and 25-4. Elise Jolly (four blocks, five digs, 10 kills) and Christie Roy (12 digs, five kills) led Merrimack.


Hollis/Brookline 3, Nashua South 0: At Nashua, Hollis/Brookline won in straight sets by scores of 25-15, 25-12 and 25-23. HB was led Kristin Johnson (five kills), Gabby Picard (three blocks), Mick Day (three aces, six digs), and Kaitlyn Kosan (ace, four digs).


Belmont 3, Prospect Mountain 0: At Belmont, the Red Raiders won by scores of 29-27, 25-19 and 26-24. Megan Bailey (three aces, two kills, three digs, 28 assists), Jessie Bergeron (ace, four kills, 23 digs), Shannon Conway (five kills, block, two digs) and Alyssa Woods (seven kills, five digs) led Belmont.


Goffstown 3, Londonderry 2: At Londonderry, the Grizzlies fell into an 0-2 hole early and rallied to a 24-26, 16-25, 25-20, 25-9, 15-12 win. Jess Williamson had 15 kills and 24 digs for Goffstown and Rene Roggenbuck had 18 kills and four blocks, Molly Fanning added 28 digs and Katie Howe had 10 kills.

Taylor Collins had seven kills, Marissa Russell four and Lauren Reinhold 10 digs for the Lancers. Goffstown improved to 9-4 and Londonderry is 3-11.


Pinkerton 3, Bedford 1: The Astros were led by Kelsey Cummings with eight kills and 14 digs, Olivia Mathieu with 12 kills and 20 digs, and Taylor Ferdinado with 14 assists.

Bedford had its 11-match winning streak snapped. The Bulldogs are 11-3. Pinkerton is 9-4.
