St. Anselm AD resigns

Kelly Higgins resigned his position as director of athletics at St. Anselm College, according to a statement from the college on Wednesday.

A brief e-mail sent by Sports Information Director Eric Coplin said “Higgins arrived on the Hilltop on July 1, 2012 after his most recent stop as the Athletic Director at Fort Lewis College. A national search for his replacement has commenced.”

Coplin, reached at his office, called Higgins’ resignation “a personnel matter. We can’t discuss it further.”

Higgins’ resignation comes exactly one week after men’s soccer head coach Peter Ramsey resigned from his post, citing personal reasons.

Ramsey is the President/CEO of New Hampshire’s Palace Theatre. He didn’t respond to a phone call message left for him Wednesday night at the theatre.
