One doesn’t make the ballot after Keene primary
Only 967 or six percent of the city’s 16,849 registered turned out for the Tuesday primary.
The Tuesday primary was held because 11 candidates filed to run for the five open Councilor-at-Large seats. If at least one race has more than two candidates per seat a primary election is held.
Remaining on the ballot are Kris E. Roberts with 662 votes, Carl B. Jacobs with 562 votes, Emily Hague with 457 votes, Randy L. Filiault with 439 votes, David R. Meader with 408 votes, Steven Lindsey with 336 votes, David Curran with 321 votes, Bob Sutherland with 294 votes, Beverly A. Creamer with 193 votes, and Ian Freeman with 55 votes.
Elected offices include: Mayor, Ward Councilors, Councilors-at-Large, Ward Moderators, Ward Selectmen, Ward Clerks and Ward Checklist Supervisors.
Current Mayor Kendall W. Lane is running against Darryl W. Perry.
