Man seriously injured in Rochester motorcycle crash


ROCHESTER — One man was seriously injured Tuesday night in a motorcycle crash on Old Dover Road, police Lt. Todd Pinkham said.

The man, whose name was not available, was flown to Maine Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

The accident happened about 6:45 p.m. and involved only the single motorcyclist, who had no passengers, he said.

Old Dover Road in Rochester is expected to be closed until late Tuesday from the exit 11 off-ramp to the Charles Street intersection. The exit 11 off-ramp on the Spaulding Turnpike was also blocked off.
