NHIAA Roundup: Kuehl, Thomas TDs carry Plymouth Saturday

Jared Kuehl rushed for 100 yards and four touchdowns and John Thomas added 90 yards and a TD as Plymouth handed host Lebanon a 50-11 defeat on Saturday. Plymouth improved to 5-0 in Division II. Lebanon dropped to 1-4.
Gilford 33 Farmington-Nute 13: Quarterback Jack Athanas threw four touchdown passes and rushed for another to lead Gilford Saturday. Max Troiano caught two of the TD passes and Beck Stecher had the other two. Gilford is 3-2; Farmington-Nute is 0-4.

Boys’ soccer

Hopkinton 2, Hillsboro-Deering 0: The Hawks remained unbeaten at 10-0 with a win over HD on Saturday. Evan Ruderman and Zach Rouleau scored the goals and Rob Ferguson made one save for the shutout. Brett Bennett stopped 12 for HD.
Nashua South 3, Bishop Guertin 0: At Nashua, Ryan Guidaboni scored two goals and Dan Dukeshire knocked home a header Saturday.
Pinkerton 3, Keene 0: At Derry, Zach Bell scored twice and Matt O’Brien added another to pace the Astros (7-3) Saturday. Keene fell to 5-6.

Girls’ soccer

Pembroke 2, Sanborn 1: Pembroke extended its win streak to five with a win Saturday. Keerstyn Allen and Celia Sartwell scored for PA.

Volleyball

Belmont 3, Pittsfield 1: The hosts improved to 9-1 on Saturday with a 21-25, 25-16, 25-15, 25-16 victory. For Belmont, Megan Bailey notched eight aces, five digs and 36 assists, Jessie Bergeron had three aces, three kills and 23 digs, Jackelyn Robarge recorded four aces and three digs, Bridget Annis had five kills and two blocks, and Alyssa Woods had 14 kills.
