Windham High School robotics team to host 5K fundraiser
WINDHAM — Windham High School’s robotics team is hosting a 5K race fundraiser as part of TechFest on Oct. 12.
Scott Kushtel, a Windham High School science and technology teacher who organizes TechFest each year, said proceeds from the 5K event will help the team build its new robot for the winter competition, invest in new tools, and help with competition registration fees and team travel expenses.
Registration for the race will take place at the high school at 7 a.m. Advance registration may also be done online at www.team3467.org. Registration fees are $20 per person and the first 100 to register will receive free T-shirts.
TechFest will immediately follow the race, with hands-on technological exhibits set up throughout the school. Admission is free, and children and parents from throughout the region are encouraged to attend.
