Manchester police issue weekend traffic advisories

MANCHESTER — Police are advising that two events this weekend could result in some traffic delays.

The Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk, which is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. today, will start at Arms Park and run through portions of Stark, Commercial, Granite, Elm, Spring and Webster streets, as well as River Road.

On Sunday, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Walk to Cure Diabetes will begin at 10 a.m. at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium on South Commercial Street and run through parts of Granite, Elm, Brook and Canal streets back to Commercial Street and the stadium.

Though the courses are each considered open to traffic, there will be several crossings that could cause delays for motorists, who are asked to use caution if they encounter walkers, police said in a release.
