Salem police searching for girl, 16, missing since Thursday


SALEM — Police are searching for a 16-year-old girl they say has been missing since Thursday night and made "veiled threats" to harm herself.

Juliette Benetiz, who is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 200 pounds, with multiple piercings and an industrial bar in her right ear, was last seen about 6 p.m. Thursday after leaving her Rena Avenue home on foot.

She has not used her cell phone since Thursday, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 893-1911 or the Southern New Hampshire Crimeline at 893-6600.
