NHIAA Roundup: Lebanon boys boot Trinity in OT

Tanner Singleton’s overtime goal in the 96th minute was the difference in leading Lebanon past Trinity of Manchester, 1-0, in a Division II boys’ soccer contest Wednesday in Lebanon. The Raiders (6-1) received an assist on the winning goal from Kuda Muhlauri. Off an indirect kick, Singleton blasted his shot just under the crossbar.

Trinity (1-4-1) was led by goalie Taylor Bond with eight saves. Lebanon goalie Kenny Weitzman stopped four shots.
Souhegan 4, ConVal 2: At Peterborough, first half goals from Nile Hertzler (from Stephen Twitchell) and Matt Czerski (from Austin Wheeler) gave ConVal the early lead. Second half goals from Matt Hopfenspirger (assist to Mike Hayden) and two more from Mike Hayden, one on a penalty kick, provided Souhegan (5-3) with the win over 5-2-1 ConVal.
Campbell 4, Pelham 3 (OT): In Pelham, junior Jon Donaghey scored the game-winner at 1:57 of the first overtime to lift Campbell (4-3). Christian Wallenmaier, Ben Billings and Andrew Smarse each scored during regulation for the Cougars. Zach Perault, Billings, Wallenmaier and Donaghey each had an assist. Harley Kenney scored a hat trick for Pelham.

Campbell goalie Andrew Picard stopped five shots. Pelham goalie Brian Gettings turned back five shots.
Windham 4, Hollis/Brookline 2: For Hollis/Brookline, Nate Rogers scored a second half penalty kick and Cole Owens converted a short distance cross from Evan Porter.
West 3, Coe-Brown 2: Promise Kpee scored twice and assisted on the winning goal by Luan Sanches in the 91st minute of double overtime. Jake Dunkerly tallied twice for Coe Brown. West goalie Andrew Laprise had nine saves.

Girls’ soccer

Derryfield 7, Pittsfield 0: In Manchester, Derryfield School (6-0-0) was led by Gabi Brummett who scored five goals. Chloe Warner and Emma Polgrean each scored once. Assists were handed out to Margo Pierson, Sophia Allard and Jordyn Arzilli on Tuesday.
Bedford 1, South 0: At Bedford, Johanna Celli had the only goal at the 78:01 mark. Bedford goalie Brooke Barret had four saves and South goalie Anneze Obinelo made nine stops.
Windham 1, Hollis/Brookline 0: Windham (7-0) defeated Hollis/Brookline (2-4) when Hannah Pesci beat multiple defenders on the dribble and finished with a goal into the corner in the 28th minute. Windham’s Brianna Angelini had 17 saves and Ryan Philbrook had nine for the Cavaliers.

Field hockey

Winnacunnet 4, Bishop Guertin 1: Mia Vecchione scored the lone goal for BG. Kelly Mahoney made 26 saves in goal for the Cardinals. Goals for Winnacunnet came from Megan Chase, Elischet Auffant and two from Hayley Merrill.
Derryfield 6, Pelham 0: The Cougars got four goals from senior center forward Colbi Vaillancourt, bringing her to 16 for the season in seven games. Polly Carter and Zoe PiSerra had the other two Derryfield (7-0) goals. Kate Johnson had one save in the shutout.
Londonderry 2, Dover 0: In Londonderry, the Lancers (3-3-2) were led by goals from Jackie Curtin (assist to Elizabeth Caron) in the first half and, Hanna Cohen, from Hannah Batchelor in the second half. Londonderry goalie Emily Downing stopped three shots.
Goffstown 1, Portsmouth 0: In Goffstown, the Grizzlies (5-1) beat the 3-3 Clippers when Anne Steckowych scored a second half goal off a feed by Hannah Gifford. The Grizzlies received strong efforts from Alicia Minnich, Dulcie Trottier, and goalie Bry Fournier (10 saves).
Concord 4, Nashua North 0: Steph Resnick scored three goals for Concord.
Wilton 3, Hillsboro-Deering 0: Emily Hatcher and Dakota Anderson each had seven digs.

Volleyball

Nashua North 3, Londonderry 0: Madison Milton had five kills and Taylor Collins added four kills. Emily Georgakopoulos had nine saves and Cassidy Litch added five.
Belmont 3, Inter-Lakes 2: Jordan Donohue recorded a triple double with 21 kills, 16 points, and 16 digs. Hayley Roth registered a season-high 30 assists and added eight service points and six digs. Jessica Schofield (6 blocks, 6 kills), Tori Burns (8 digs, 4 points), Lydia Swedberg (12 digs, 12 points) and Kaila Martin (11 points, 2 kills) each played well.
Bedford 3, Winnacunnet 0: Bedford (5-2) was led by Courtney O’Connell (five blocks, six kills), Chandler Lake (24 digs) and Elizabeth Eby with 18 assists.
Pinkerton 3, Central 0: Elizabeth Hicks had 10 assists and three digs for Pinkerton. Lexie Verreault and Olivia Mathieu each had six digs. Taylor Ferdinando added seven assists. Colleen O’Hara had three aces for Central and teammate Antonella Quintana added two aces.
Epping 3, Portsmouth Christian 0: Epping (4-3) was led by Cassidy Garrow (7 kills), Logan Miner (4 aces), Eliza Kucera (5 kills, 5 aces, 3 digs) and Olivia Goodrich (18 assists, 6 digs).

Girls’ cross country

Souhegan 15, Windham 66, John Stark 80, Merrimack Valley 101, Plymouth 114
In Penacook at Merrimack Valley High, Madeleine Hunt led the way for the Sabers with a 20:25 time.

Boys’ cross country

Souhegan 18, Merrimack Valley 57, Windham 75, Plymouth 102, John Stark 139.Eli Moskowitz led Souhegan with a 17:09 time in Penacook.
