Gas prices in New Hampshire continue a slow, steady decline
According to AAA, the average cost for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in New Hampshire was $3.538 on Thursday, down five cents from a week before and nine cents from where it was a month ago. Last fall at this time, the average was $3.850.
Thursday marked the 10th straight day the average price in New Hampshire decreased.
Prices are expected to continue dropping, although fall is hurricane season and a major storm could reverse the pattern.
Green said 42 percent of gas stations in the Granite State were already charging below $3.50 this week, compared to just 7 percent a year ago.
