AG eyes dispute involving Portsmouth officer's bid to inherit $1.8M from elderly woman with dementia

PORTSMOUTH — Associate Attorney General Anne Edwards filed an appearance with Rockingham Superior Court to be a party in a case alleging a city police officer exerted undue influence over an elderly woman with dementia to inherit most of her $1.8 million estate. Edwards' written appearance with the court states she represents the attorney general's Department of Charitable Trusts and will appear as an attorney "for the public interest."
