Sen. Ayotte to host Guinta event at Manchester Radisson Oct. 8
MANCHESTER — It was not billed as a formal endorsement, but U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte will host a campaign fundraiser for former U.S. Rep. Frank Guinta in two weeks.
The Tuesday, Oct. 8, morning event at the Radisson Manchester hotel will feature U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, the Republican vice presidential nominee last year.
Guinta announced his candidacy for the 1st District House seat Monday in a website video.
Invitees will get a “private briefing” if they contribute or raise $5,200; a photo reception if they contribute or raise $1,000, limited to two people per photo. General reception tickets will go for $250 or $100.
Guinta is the first announced Republican for the seat he lost last year to Democrat Carol Shea-Porter. Outgoing University of New Hampshire business school dean Dan Innis of Portsmouth has indicated he may also run as a Republican.
