Bishop Guertin football team edges Keene Saturday night

Brandon Levesque scored on a 2-yard touchdown run and Mike Devereaux ran for the 2-point conversion in the second quarter, which was just enough for the Bishop Guertin of Nashua football team to beat Keene, 14-12, on Saturday night at Stellos Stadium.

Devereaux's conversion gave BG a 14-6 lead. Keene responded with a third-quarter drive capped by Alex Parenteau’s 1-yard TD run, but the conversion failed.

BG is 2-1 in Division I. Keene dropped to 1-2.

Parenteau rushed for 161 yards and both Keene TDs.
St. Thomas 45, John Stark 0: Senior Jake Geppert rushed for 139 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns leading the Saints on Saturday night in Division II. St. Thomas improved to 3-0, while the Generals dropped to 1-2.

Volleyball

Inter-Lakes 3, Moultonborough 0: At Meredith, middle hitter Jordan Donohue had 19 kills and added eight service points for the Lakers (5-1) on Friday. The scores were 25-22, 25-13, 25-15. Lydia Swedberg led the team from the service line with 16 points and three aces. Hayley Roth notched 25 assists.

Boys’ soccer

Raymond 3, Epping 1: Jake West scored the lone goal for Epping (3-2) on Saturday.
Pinkerton 5, Salem 0: Kyle Hicks and Alex Ebner scored second-half goals for the Astros on Saturday in Salem. Eric Werner made four saves for the shutout. Pinkerton improved to 5-1-0; Salem dropped to 5-1-0.

Girls’ soccer

Raymond 4, Epping 0: Danyel McNicholas, Amanda McGee, Hannah McNicholas and Katelyn McCoole scored for the Rams and Mikayela Anguano notched six saves for the shutout on Saturday.

Chole Pelletier made 26 saves and Hanna Chomas made two stops — both on penalty kicks — for Epping (2-4).
Pinkerton 1, Salem 0: Grace DiPersio scored at 10:33 and Sammy Mitchell made four saves to lead the Astros (6-0-0) in Derry on Saturday. Emily Barrett made 10 stops for Salem (0-4-2).
