Trey Scott scored three touchdowns and ran for 125 yards as Spaulding High School defeated Nashua North Friday night, 26-0, in a Division I football contest in Rochester.
After a Scott one-yard touchdown run made it 6-0, North let the ensuing kickoff sit on the field and Spaulding recovered on the 16. Scott scored again six plays later on a two-yard run to make it 13-0 at the half.
Spaulding closed the game with two TDs in the fourth, another from Scott and one from Tyler Snow (47-yard run). Spaulding moved to 2-1 and North fell to 0-3.
Nashua South 38, Timberlane 13: At Nashua, the game was tight into the second quarter, but South was able to pull away as the game wore on. Trevor Knight had two touchdown passes and two more rushing scores for South (3-0). Timberlane of Plaistow fell to 1-2.
Concord 55, Merrimack 0: At Merrimack, Crimson Tide wide receiver Seimou Smith had three catches for 90 yards and a touchdown from Robbie Law as Concord rolled to 3-0. Merrimack fell to 2-1. Merrimack Valley fell to 2-1, getting contributions from Tucker Burt (12-yard rushing TD) and Blake Gaboriault (65-yard TD run).
