Manchester teen assaulted, robbed of iPhone
MANCHESTER – A man punched a 14-year-old boy in the face and stole his iPhone Thursday night as the teen was walking near Maple and Spruce streets, police said.
The teen told investigators he was walking north on Maple Street about 7:30 p.m., texting on his phone when a man approached and asked to use his phone.
When the teen hesitated, the man punched him in the face, took the phone and ran off with it.
The robber is described as a white man, 18 to 30 years old, 5-foot-9 to 6-feet tall, with a chubby build. He had short blond or brown hair, a short beard and possibly blue eyes. He was wearing tan cargo shorts and a black T-shirt.
