St. Anselm to test emergency notification system today
September 17. 2013 11:29PM
GOFFSTOWN — The St. Anselm College outdoor emergency notification system will be tested today between 3 and 3:30 p.m.
The test will include the siren sounding, a “canned” voice message, a public address system test and a recording signaling the end of the test. The entire exercise will take less than 15 minutes.
The outdoor notification system is designed to not only alert the campus community when there is imminent danger but also follows up with voice instructions.
In addition, the college will also send test messages through its SAC/Alerts emergency system to registered cell phones, pagers, BlackBerry phones, PDAs, and email accounts.
SAC Alerts is an emergency text messaging service that works in concert with an outdoor siren and public address system, as well as broadcasting college voicemail and email messages.
