Rochester police search for two men in armed robbery at gas station
ROCHESTER – Two masked men robbed the Shell station on Milton Road Wednesday morning, and one of them pulled a knife out when the clerk did not move fast enough, police said.
The robbery happened at 2:40 a.m. The two men entered the store and demanded money from the register. After one of them pulled out a knife, the clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the robbers fled out the door, running south on Milton Road.
The first robber is described as a slim, white male, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10 and weighing between 130 and 150 pounds. He wore a black, hooded sweatshirt with gray sleeves and a white emblem on the left front chest, dark-colored pants and white sneakers.
His hood was up over his head, and he had a dark-colored mask covering his face.
The second robber, who had the knife, was a white male with short brown hair and a similar physical description as his companion. He wore a dark-colored, possibly fleece sweatshirt with white writing on the left front chest.
He covered his face with a piece of clothing and wore dark jeans and brown boots.
A police dog was brought to the scene but was unable to track down the robbers.
The robbery remains under investigation.
